The Title Tag

The title tag is a required element—and should contain your most important keywords. Besides helping Search Engines, any text you put here will show up next to the page's shortcut in the Bookmarks or Favorites list. This is especially useful when bookmarks are sorted alphabetically as I will soon explain. Titles should begin with your Site's NAME; be unique, short, to the point, and contain a brief summary of what the page is about (not your entire Site). This way, your pages will be grouped together in the Bookmarks (or IE Favorites) making them easier to find.

Don't ever try to trick the Search Engines by stuffing title tags. Most will ban the Site (remove it from their indexes) for "Keyword Spamming".
